These terms cover your use of chocoangle.com. Reading the site means accepting them. They are written for an Australian audience and sit alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

What this site is

ChocoAngle is an independent editorial project about free ancient-world games published on Google Play. Everything here is commentary: the desk scores, the session estimates and the notes are the opinion of the two people who write them, formed after installing each title and playing it. They are not a professional recommendation and they are not a guarantee that a game will suit you.

Advertising and how the desk is funded

This site displays no advertising. No placement on the shelf is for sale, no studio has paid to be listed, and no link on this site is a paid or affiliate link. The intended source of support is the Plus reading plan described on the home page, priced at A$4.90 per month. Collection for that plan is in the activation stage, an application to enable it is being prepared, and nothing is charged to anyone today.

Independence

ChocoAngle has no affiliation, sponsorship or partnership with Google LLC, with Google Play, or with any studio whose game appears on the site. Where we describe a game we describe the build we played, on the date noted, on a mid-range Android device.

Ownership of the material

The text, the layout, the comparison table and the ChocoAngle name belong to the desk. Game titles, icons, screenshots and trade marks belong to their respective owners and appear here to identify the games under review, which is a fair dealing for the purpose of criticism and review. If you own material shown here and want it removed, write to desk@chocoangle.com and it will be taken down.

Using the site

• Read, quote and link to anything here, with attribution and a link back.
• Do not republish whole reviews, scrape the site in bulk or present our scores as your own.
• Do not attempt to disrupt the site or the systems that serve it.

Links to other places

Every game row links to a Google Play listing. Those pages are operated by Google and by the studios, and their content, pricing and availability are outside our control. Following such a link takes you outside this site and outside these terms.

Availability and accuracy

The site is provided on an as-is basis and may be unavailable while it is updated. Games change with every patch, so a note written in one month can be out of date in the next; tell us and we will correct the row with a dated line. To the extent permitted by law we accept no liability for a decision you make on the basis of an opinion published here.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission publishes those rights at accc.gov.au.

Writing to us

The site carries no form and no sign-up. Email is the only channel, and what happens to a message you send is set out in the privacy notice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. The courts of Victoria, and the courts able to hear appeals from them, have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from the site.
